The Acadian and French population on the Port au Port Peninsula, Newfoundland. Activities include fishing, farming, hauling logs, washing wool, saw milling logs, boat building, making lobster traps, smelt fishing, making snowshoes, trapping, blacksmithing, spinning, knitting and gardening. Music festivals, story telling, Emile Benoit and his violin, la fête de la Chandeleur are also covered.. Photos by Louise Abbott.
