The records include minutes, 1853-1857, fiscal records, 1851-1856, and property records, 1855.Nom(s) additionnel(s) :Biographie/Histoire administrative :Buffalo, Brantford and Goderich Railway Company : The Brantford and Buffalo Joint Stock Railroad Company was chartered on 10 August 1850 (14-15 Vic., Cap. 72) to build a railway between Fort Erie and Brantford. The name was changed in November 1852 (16 Vic., Cap. 45) to the Buffalo, Brantford and Goderich Railway Company with power to build beyond Brantford to Goderich. This Company became financially embarrassed and unable to complete the line between Paris, Ontario and Goderich. As a result the Buffalo and Lake Huron Railway Company was formed in 1856 (19 Vic., Cap. 21) to acquire the properties, rights and other privileges of the Buffalo, Brantford and Goderich.
