The capital stock was transferred by Mackenzie, Mann and Company, Limited to the Canadian Northern Railway company on 2 June 1903. A site had been acquired in Port Arthur and an elevator was constructed and opened for operation in 1904. This elevator was replaced in 1920 and additional storage facilities were also constructed. The Lake Superior Terminals Company, Limited was declared dissolved as of 5 August 1958 after its assets had been transferred to the Canadian National Railway Company.
