Drawn from nature and on stone by Lieutenant Robert Petley, 50th Regt., London.
The publication was bound in wrappers and issued in three parts of 5 prints each. Part I consists of: 1) Rocking Stone near Halifax (title page); 2) View of Halifax from the Indian Encampment at Dartmouth; 3) A Sleigh Leaving Windsor, N.B.; 4) Bedford Bason from near the Three Mile House. Part II consists of: 1) View of York Redoubt; 2) A Night Encampment Moose Hunting; 3)Halifax from Point Pleasant; 4) Squaws of the Mic-Mac Tribe; 5)View on the Banks of the Scubinacadne. Part III consists of: 1)View of the Cobaquid Mountains; 2) Fredericton, N.B. from the Oromocto Road; 3) Windsor NS from the Barracks; 4) Stream near the Grand Schubinacadie Lake; 5) Indian of the Mic-mac Tribe.
Additional imprints of these items can be found in the Coverdale Collection (1970-188), the Peter Winkworth Collection (R9266), and the Canadian Historical Prints and Watercolours Collection (R13133)
The original acquisition in 1915 consisted of 15 prints, 2 complete wrappers (Parts II and III) and 1 partial wrapper (Part I).
