Canada. Canadian Army. Light Trench Mortar Battery, 5th : Two batteries, designated 5/C/1 and 5/C/2, were organized in France in December 1915 from personnel from 5th Canadian Infantry Brigade. These batteries were amalgamated and designated the 5th Canadian Light Trench Mortar Battery in June 1916. The battery was commanded by Captain R.M. Fair. It disbanded in 16 November 1918 and its personnel returned to their original units.

The 5th Canadian Trench Mortar Group was organized at Whitley in December 1916 under the command of Captain W.H. Abbott. It was composed of V5C (Heavy) Battery and X5C, Y5C and Z5C (Medium) Batteries. The group was disbanded at Hensies, Belgium on 16 November 1918.
