Adami, J. George (John George), 1862-1926 : Pathologist.
John George Adami, born at Ashton-on-Mersey, Lancashire, England, was educated at Cambridge. He was professor of pathology at McGill University, Montreal, Que. from 1892 until 1919. He was prominently identified with the local league for prevention of tuberculosis. In 1905, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society. Although nominally still attached to McGill University, he spent the years 1914 through 1919 on military service. In 1919, he was elected vice-chancellor of the University of Liverpool.
He wrote The War Story of the Canadian Army Medical Corps.
