Fonds consists of two photographs depicting the Right Honourable F.M. Forde, Australian High Commissioner, presenting a portrait of Sir Thomas Brisbane to Dr. W.K. Lamb, Dominion Archivist, Ottawa, Ont., 26 January l950. Photographed by Newton.

Fonds also includes moving images, mostly short films, either Australian publicity films or World War II newsreel and propoganda films.

Custodial history:

The moving images were part of the Canadian Film Institute's (CFI) transfer to the National Archives on May 12, 1975. The CFI received the material from the Australian High Commission between 1960 and 1972. The photographic material was acquired in 1950 from the Right Honourable F.M. Forde, Australia High Commissioner, Ottawa, Ontario.
