Depicted are: group portraits of the main jurors, witnesses, prisoners of the Rebellion, and officials of the trial; North West Mounted Police barracks, Regina, Saskatchewan, 1885; Port Arthur, Ontario; Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan. Photos by Oliver Buell. Also included are several photographs documenting the activities of First Nations peoples, settlers, and early towns in Western Canada. Photographs by C.S. Bailey; William Notman; R. Ewing; and R. W. Anderson. The photographs were passed down by family descent to Gilbert Bagnani of Port Hope, Ontario, who donated them to the National Archives 6 September 1977.Availability of other formats note:The copy negative number for the item digitized is PA-118775 (DAPDCAP)Associated material note:The "Vogrie" property, Ontario homestead to the Bagnani family, was inherited by Trent University after the death of Gilbert Bagnani in 1985.
