The series consists of correspondence, pilot log books, photographs, films, speech and other records relating to Henry Davis' military career and other personal activities. It includes letters to his parents and family during trips in Europe during the 1930s; log books as a pilot for the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War as well as correspondence relating to his capture and release as prisoner of war in Germany; and photos relating to his involvement in the National Council of the YMCA.

The series also include three films showing the Olympic Games and tourist areas in Berlin in 1936 and one film documenting flight training activities under the Commonwealth Air Training Plan at Brantford, Ontario, in 1941.

The series also includes correspondence, indenture of apprenticeship, photographs and other documents relating mostly to his grandfather, William Davis, and his father, Michael Patrick Davis, who were both involved in the construction of canals and other large construction projects during the 19th century and early 20th century.

Series also includes photographs of the opening of the Quebec bridge and of a social gathering at M.P. Davis' cottage in the Thousand Islands.
