Series consists of drawings for architectural projects primarily in Ontario and Alberta with a few in other provinces (British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Northwest Territories and Saskatchewan. There are also a some in the United States, West Indies and England.

Earlier projects pertain primarily to industrial complexes in Hamilton and southwestern Ontario. Representative projects include Dominion Foundaries & Steel, Bell Canada, Canadian Westinghouse Co., and Palmolive Co. Other projects include commercial, educational, office, recreational and religious facilities and residential buildings.

Commercial projects include shopping malls, stores, office buildings, bus terminals. There are several examples of athletic facilities such as Ivor Wynne Stadium (Hamilton), University of Toronto, University of Calgary, Saskatoon Field House. Schools include: Thickwood Heights High School (Fort McMurray, AB), Woking School (Woking, AB), Timberlea Elementary School (Fort McMurry, AB). Government projects include the Hamilton Regional Detention Centre (Hamilton, ON), an aviation services building (Calgary, AB), Springbank Airport Tower (Springbank, AB) and field camps for oil companies (Northwest Territories). Hospitals include: Hamilton General Hospital, St. Joseph's hospitals in Hamilton and Guelph, ON, and Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Burlington, ON.

Also includes work by Norman Wallace Dobell during his time with Grisenthwaite Construction Company (1959-1963).
