Collection consists of film footage of news events of the early decades including the flight of the first Boeing flying boat built in Canada, Percy Williams at Hastings Park, the British Colubmia swim team and rugby. One short item covers life in Canada in the 1930's and another shows Winston Churchill and Vincent Massey at the Northwest Lacrosse Finals. Also included are early silent fiction films such as The pest, staring Charlie Chaplin. Photograph depicts the Canadian Track and Field Championships, Toronto, Ontario, 9 August 1930. Print depicts a full length statuette in the round of superintendent H.H. Larsen of the RCMP's "St. Roch". Work by Sydney March.
