Fonds consists of interviews with Cavoukian about his father, his childhood, his career in colour photography, his photographic style, Yousuf Karsh, and his most important work.

Fonds also consists of photographs and prints. Included are portraits by Cavouk of various heads of state, cabinet ministers, and performing artists: Rt. Hon. Vincent Massey, Rt. Hon. Roland and Mrs. Michener, H.E. Major-General and Mme. Georges Vanier, Rt. Hon. Lester B. Pearson, Hon. Mitchell Sharp, David Ben-Gurion, Leonid Brezhnev, Ludwig Erhard, Maureen Forrester, Lois Smith, Dr. Hsieh-Yen Shih, Harry Somers, Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, and Dr. W.I. Smith, Dominion Archivist.

Cavouk, 1915-1995 : Onnig Cavoukian, professionally known as Cavouk, was born in Turkey in 1915. His family resettled in Cairo in 1923 and in 1928 Cavouk opened his first studio. By 1953 he was the only professional photographer in the world specializing in color portaiture. He emigrated to Canada in 1958 and has since photographed numerous world leaders and international figures.
