Fonds consists of films entitled: The 1965 Shell 4000; The birth of the robot; A light in nature; Oil from the earth; The revealing eye; The rival world; Airscrew; and Wings over the Atlantic. Also included are films produced by Shell Canada in the 1980s on amateur competitve skiers and fuel economy competition. Objects consist of four sets of fifteen sterling silver portrait medals of all the Prime Ministers of Canada from 1867 to 1970, mounted on walnut board fifteen inches wide. The remaining objects are two sets of 13 goldine medals (one in English, one in French), featuring Canada's provincial and territorial coats-of-arms and flowers. These goldine sets were offered as premiums at Shell gas stations throughout Canada in 1971.

Also consists of an unidentified 8mm film.

General note:

Medals received in 1970, 1971 and 1977 from Shell Canada Limited and the Canadian Historical Society.

Custodial history:

Some of the moving image material (accession 1967-0013) was part of the Canadian Film Institute's (CFI) transfer to the National Archives of Canada on May 12, 1975. The CFI originally received the material from Shell Canada ca. 1967. The National Archives of Canada received the rest of the moving image material in 1985 directly from Shell Canada Limited.
