Sub-sub-series consists of records relating to the Intercolonial Railway. The sub-sub-series includes indexed letterbooks of Sandford Fleming, Chief Engineer, dating from July 1867 to January 1870 (Vol. 828), January 1870 to May 1871 (Vol. 828), May 1871 to December 1873 (Vol. 829), and January 1874 to March 1876 (Vol. 829).

The sub-sub-series contains registers of letters received in the Engineer's Office from June 1869 to September 1872 (Vol. 831), November 1873 to January 1876 (Vol. 832), and February 1876 to April 1877 (Vol. 833). Volumes 832 and 833 are indexed. Volumes 834-835 contain indexed registers of letters sent from the Engineer's Office from March 1874 to July 1876 (Vol. 834) and from July 1876 to November 1877 (Vol. 835).

Also included is a Record Book of telegrams received and sent during August 1875 (Vol. 836).
