Bureau of Chemical Safety : The Health Protection Branch monitors manufacturers and vendors of food and drug products for compliance with various federal laws and regulations through laboratory testing and the investigations of its offices in the field. In the Food Research Division of the Bureau of Chemical Safety, Foods Directorate, scientists carried out basic research on food, including the development of methods of analysis and related standards.
