This is a preliminary description. Please consult the linked accession. Series consists of operational records of the Calgary Office. Subjects covered by theses records include: activities relating to the Games' corporate sponsors; the preparation of Cabinet documents on federal participation; intergovernmental relations; other Olympic games, legal agreements and contracts for such things as the facilities, television contracts, games programs and long-term operating costs; economic benefits; the construction and operation of the facilities; and administration of the Olympic Endowment Fund. Also included are minutes of meetings for both CODA and the OCO'88, as well as other interdepartmental committees such as the Deputy Minister's Committee on Olympic '88.

The architectural drawings are of various facilities at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics: the Training Centre; Husky Gardens and Visitor Centre by Cook, Culham, Montgomery, Pedersen & Valentine; University of Calgary Pedestrian Way by the Gibbs Gage Partnership; site landscaping by the Lombard North Group; and site drawings and various buildings by McDougall & Stewart. In addition, there are concept designs by Graham McCourt and H.E. Olsen, sky jump profiles of the Edmonton Ski Club, and a few drawings by the Organizing Committee and the Canadian government.
