Fonds consists of films, many of which were shot by Narcisse Pelletier. Pelletier, a student of artist C.W. Jefferys, shot home movies of Jefferys at home and on vacation with the Group of Seven's Franz Johnston and Frank Carmichael. Other home movies document parades and other events in pre-war and war-time Toronto. Also included are commercially distributed movies and films relating to the German Luftwaffe during World War II and aerial surveillance of Britain such as Luftnavigation darstillung des kurses auf der eidkugel and Luftgeographischer film von Grobritannien.

Also included in fonds is graphic material. Included are Christmas cards received by Pelletier between 1927 and 1932 from fellow artists Frances Anne Johnston, Francis Hans Johnston, F.W. Hutchinson, Emanuel Hahn, Elizabeth Wyn Wood, Thomas Albert Stone, Adolphus Broomfield, Rowley Murphy, Norah F.E. Collyer, Frances C.H. Turner, Katherine Mans, Noreen Masters, Emma Lennox and other unidentified artists. Also included is a sketchbook and drawings by Pelletier depicting views of Canadian soldiers in Europe during World War II, images of Canadian camps, activities and areas of occupation, and drawings depicting scenes in Germany and Belgium of Merton Hanger, a darkroom tent and outhouse. In addition, fonds includes photographs of Pelletier and Alexander Young Jackson.

Pelletier, Narcisse, 1902- : Narcisse Pelletier (1902-1981). Amateur artist who studied with the Group of Seven, and later worked as an army photographer during World War II. He was also a member of the Toronto Movie Club, an association of amateur film makers.

Moving images received in 1981 from Cimon Morin of the National Postal Museum and in 1987 from Wayne Pelletier, the nephew of Narcisse Pelletier. Graphic material received in 1987 from Wayne Pelletier.
