Collection consists of photographs documenting the Department of Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment ball held at the Chateau Laurier; a portrait of Ross MacDonald, Speaker of the House of Commons; images of Niagara Falls; the Canadian exhibition in London, England; Rocky Mountain scenes by William James Topley; unidentified cartes-de-visite of young men; unidentified quarter plate ferrotypes of a man and woman; and a business card with a man's face, inscribed by James Brown.

Collection also consists of drawings related to the Parliament Buildings; Mitchell Vance Co., "Design for the Chandelier, Senate Chamber"; and R.C. Wright, "Proposed Bronze Memorial for Common Lobby".

The chandelier sketch is the accepted design for the two chandeliers which presently hang in the Senate Chamber on Parliament Hill,

Bibliographic citation: "A Display of Patriotism" Ottawa Citizen, 9 August, 1977 article reports Mr. Blackman's donation of the chandelier sketch following the conclusion of the exhibit.
