Sub-sub-series consists of telegrams to and from Adolphe Caron, Minister of Militia and Defence from November 1880 to January 1892, dated April 1-3, 1885, regarding the despatch of the troops and the situation in the North West (Vol. 3) as well as telegrams and a few letters exchanged between officers in the North West relating to supplies and transport, troop movements and the pursuit of Big Bear (Vol. 3). The records also include an abstract of ration returns, statements and accounts for the North West Field Force, copies of contracts and agreements with teamsters and lists of teamsters (Vol. 3). Letterbooks of the transport and supply office in Winnipeg, April 1885 to February 1886 (Vol. 4; reel T-281) and of the paymaster in Winnipeg, April to October 1885 (Vol. 5; reel T-281) can also be found in this sub-sub-series as well as an account book for transport in the Qu'Appelle Division (Vol. 6), district and regimental paymasters' accounts, vouchers and receipts (Vol. 7), various records (paylists, lists, account book) regarding the teamsters (Vol. 8-11).
