Special Task Force on Europe : The Special Task Force on Europe (STAFEUR) was first officially mentioned in a policy statement issued by the Prime Minister on 29 May 1968. Involved with the re- examination of Canada's relations with Europe, the Task Force also reviewed the foundations of Canadian foreign policy and its orientation with particular reference to Europe.
