A handbill of Russell's St. Louis Hotel, Québec is included as a souvenir. Works and photographs by Arthur Elliot.Provenance:Biography/Administrative history:Elliot, Arthur, fl. 1881-1882 : Arthur Elliot, painter, topographer, born in Taunton, England, was an accomplished topographical artist and a number of his drawings were published at the time in "Panorama" and the Canadian III. News. He visited Niagara, Toronto, Orillia, Muskoka, Georgian Bay, Montréal, Québec and Boston from May 1881 to June 1882. His history prior to his visit to North America and following is unknown.Additional information:General note:Purchased in 1962 from Philip V.
