Fonds consists of a photograph album compiled by Elizabeth Rosetta Glover and her husband Sir John Hawley Glover, Governor of Newfoundland, 1876-1881, 1884-1885 and Governor of the Leeward Islands, 1881-1883. The album includes views of Newfoundland, including St. John's, Placentia and Fogo, as well as rural scenes; Quebec City, Montmorency Falls and Montreal, Quebec; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Niagara Falls, Ontario; the West Indies including Antigua, Trinidad, St. Kitts, Barbados and Dominica; Scotland; General Bright's staff, India; the wives of the French Fishery Commissioners; photo-montage of Sir John and Lady Glover; Skating Carnival and Curling Party, Montreal, photo-montage by Notman; views of H.M. Ships Inflexible, Duke of Wellington and Tenedon and the yacht Nooya. Photographs by George Washington Wilson (Scotland), Burke (India), Notman, Notman & Sandham, Hough (Trinidad), Alexander Henderson, and S.H. Parsons.
