Fonds consists of oil paintings depicting scenes from memory of Mennonite life in Saskatchewan. Works are by Henry Pauls. Paul's notes which describe his paintings are located in the accession file.

Pauls, Henry Bernard, 1904-1995 : Henry Bernard Pauls was a German Mennonite who emigrated from Russia with his wife in 1923. Pauls arrived in Quebec on November 23, 1923. On May 28, 1929 Pauls became a Canadian citizen. Pauls and his wife first settled on a farm in Saskatchewan and later moved to Blytheswood, Ontario for retirement. Pauls was a farmer and a folk artist, most of his paintings depicted Mennonite farming life in Saskatchewan. Over 40 of his paintings depicted life in Russia before he emigrated to Canada.
