Collection consists of parts of a number of identifiable series and number of miscellaneous slides. The subject matter covers a wide range. The Beauty spot series is primarily scenery, but a number of the other series reflect Canadian industry, resources, agriculture and activities. There is Canada-Wide coverage, with poorest representation being for British Columbia and the Maritimes scenes from Dept. of Interior, Natural Resources Intelligence Branch; Publicity Branch, Dept. of Immigration and Colonization; Grand Trunk and Grand Trunk Pacific Railway System, showing buildings and settlements along the rail route; Canadian scenery and industries; special series depicting fishing, shooting, fruit growing, lumbering, transportation and mountain scenery; Women's hostels series showing interior and exterior views of Canadian women's hostels at Winnipeg, Regina, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto and Calgary; WWI series showing Highland Regt., Canadian contingent, tank, Duke of Connaught reviewing troops in Ottawa; miscellaneous views, including fishing, tomato fields, cheese factories, Father Point Wireless Station.
