Fonds consists of a set of 153 etchings published in Buffalo New York, in ten parts from 1886 to 1888 entitled Niagara River and Falls from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario. This is a remarque copy, containing 50 large etchings signed in pencil by the artist in one portfolio, and 103 smaller etchings with letterpress in a second portfolio. All are signed in the plate. There is a well described title list. 105 of the 153 etchings are Canadian views. The etchings were printed by J.H. Daniels of Boston; the letterpress by Matthews, Northrup, and Co. of Buffalo. Works by Amos W. Sangster.

Sangster, Amos W., 1833-1904 : Amos W. Sangster (1833-1904) was a Buffalo, New York painter and etcher who was the nephew of Canadian poet Charles Sangster.
