Fonds consists of photographs depicting: Indians; snow storm in Hamilton, Ontario; sawmill at Bond Head, Ontario; Richardson Mine, Madoc, Ontario; S.S. Manitoba; views of England, Minnisota,and Winnipeg, Manitoba; views of Goldenville, Nova Scotia and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Also included are photographs and sketches dating between 1857 and 1880, mostly of views of various villages in the south of England as well as Bond Head, Ontario, Red River, Nova Scotia, Minnesota and Lake Superior. Works by Maurice Gaviller.

Fonds also consists of: photographs and sketches dating from 1828 to 1903, mostly of views of various villages in the south of England, as well as Bond Head, Hamilton, Orillia, Chippewa, Parry Sound, Port Arthur, St. Mary's, and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; the Maritimes; Vermont, Quebec and Lake Superior. The album relates to the activities of the Gaviller family, which was associated with the Osler and Mulock families. Most of the drawings are by Alexander Gaviller with some works by other artists such as Miss Wydiat and G.H. Gaviller.
