These include: the CCLA submission to the McRuer Commission on Civil Rights; the Grange Commission and the Susan Nelles case; Zuber Inquiry, Slater Commission, CCLA amicus curiae and interventions; Ontario Commission on the Legislature; misc. statutes and bills, charter cases, conferences, projects; Jews for Jesus v. CNE case; affirmative action, legislation re Meech Lake Accord, constitutional and Charter issues, property rights and the Charter, equality rights, labour and employment equity issues, gun control, health care, tobacco, immigration, language rights and legislation, rape shield, trespass to property, Young Offenders Reform Act; study of university harrassment codes across Canada; abortion and Henry Morgentaler, AIDS, American Civil Liberties Union, education and capital punishment. Also included are general correspondence and case files including one of Clayton Ruby as well as with civil liberties associations across Canada; correspondence and case files of Erika Abner, Alan Strader, David Schneiderman, Catherine Gilbert, Glen Bell, Harry Arthurs, Barbara Orenstein, Danielle S. McLaughlin, Pat Caston, Eleanor Maskin, Judith Bay and A. Alan Borovoy; CCLA general correspondence files, correspondence with CCLA members as well as general case and speaking engagement files.
Series also includes moving images as follows: "Bill C-54 on Censorship", a panel discussion sponsored by the Toronto Public Library Board (TPL) on Bill C-54, an Act to amend the Criminal Code and other acts, 1987; and two episodes from Rogers Cable 10 (Toronto) talk show "Reactions" on issues including hate propaganda, pornography, and financing elections, 1984.
Also included are sound recordings documenting an interview with Sidney B.
