Scope and content:

This album, comprised of 24 pages on which 94 photographs are mounted, consists of a 1950 trip to Windy River, Hicks Lake, and Nuletin Lake to conduct a census on the Inuit and check on the Family Allowance program. The photographs from 1953 are concerned with Inuit settlements and trading posts in Nunavut (formerly the Northwest Territories), including images from an Inuit tribunal on old age security. There are also many photographs of the dogs used for sled teams. Photos by J.C. Jackson.
