This album, comprised of 38 pages on which 38 photographs are mounted, documents the Resolute Bay area and the various people who were stationed there: the Department of Mines and Resources, the R.C.A.F., and the R.C.M.P. There are many aerial and panoramic photographs of the Resolute area and the Resolute Weather Station. Photos by N.D.H.Q. (National Defence Head Quarters?).

The following places and buildings can be found in the album: Resolute Bay, Cornwallis Island, N.W.T.; Ionesphere Station; Magnetic Station; barrack and mess building; transient hut no. 8 (interior too); main dining hall (interiors too); buildings no. 5 - 7, 12; R.C.A.F. storehouse; Resolute Weather Station; R.C.M.P detachment; R.C.A.F. station (aerial); helium storage building; workshop (interior too); old generator building; R.C.A.F. wireless building.

The following events can be found in the album: staking fuel oil supplies at Ionesphere station; men relaxing in transient hut number 8.

The following objects can be found in the album: empty fuel drums; automatic recorder; generator switchboard; acetylene equipment; main operating panel in operations building; high power transmitting panels; spare parts bin, power building.
