Toronto Mendelssohn Choir : Mixed amateur choir founded in 1894 by August Stephen Vogt, originally consisting of 75 voices. Conductors of the choir have included Herbert Austin Fricker, Sir Ernest MacMillan, Frederick Silvester, Walter Susskind and Elmer Iseler. This famous choir gives many concerts in Canada and often tours the United States.
