Robertson, Eric, 1948- : Compositeur, pianiste, organiste et producteur de disques né à Édimbourg, Eric Robertson étudie la musique avec E. Francis Thomas, Eric Reid et William O. Minay. En 1963, il s'établit à Toronto et il s'inscrit au Royal Conservatory of Music où il suit des cours de composition avec Samuel Dolin et d'orgue avec Charles Peaker. Il devient directeur musical à l'église luthérienne Saint John's de Toronto ainsi qu'organiste et maître de chapelle à l'église unie Humbercrest (1966-90) et par la suite à l'église anglicane Saint Paul's. Robertson compose la musique de plusieurs films (A Quiet Day in Belfast, Millennium, etc.), de téléfilms (The Challengers, Love and Hate, etc.) et de séries télévisées dont Street Legal et Ken Dryden's Home Game. En 1978, il est nommé directeur musical de la célèbre émission The Tommy Hunter Show à la télévision de la Société Radio-Canada. Au cours de sa carrière, il écrit également, entre autres, des oeuvres pour orgue, pour chorales avec accompagnement d'orchestre et de la musique de jazz.
