The sub-series consists of letters and cards adressed to Veronica Tennant as well as some drafts of her replies. A few letters were accompanied by 105 personal photos of Tennant and her correspondant and one general correspondence file which includes 102 digital photographs.
The letters and cards are from schoolmates and fellow ballet students; members of the National Ballet company and other dancers; choreographers; directors; fans of all ages; teachers and pupils doing class projects; young readers of her books; aspiring dancers; friends; some relatives; and others. Some of the items are get-well cards sent to Tennant during her various convalescences following injuries. Also included are cards delivered to Tennant's dressing room before a performance. There are many letters on the occasion of Tennant's retirement from the National Ballet and throughout the files are cards and notes from supporters of the National Ballet, including, for instance, Walter Carsen, Carman Guild and Lyman Henderson. Another frequent correspondent is the former British Consul General in Toronto, Mac Samples.
