The series is composed of correspondence, reports and memoranda related to the various programs and activities of the School. The records are arranged according to three successive file classification systems; hence, a given subject and/or operational activity may appear under more than one file code and in more than one place in the series.

The series includes records related to the following subjects and activities: PS 2000 (circa 1991), acts and legislation related to the School and its antecedent bodies, meetings of the Board of Governors (formerly CCMD Advisory Council, meetings of the Management Committee, historical matters, organization, curriculum development of executive and leadership programs, the Career Assignment Program (CAP) communications and marketing, product development, research programs and meetings, research themes, cooperation and liaison with central agencies (with overlapping mandates related to human resources management), knowledge centres and learning programs, international programs and projects (and selected project documentation related to Poland, Ukraine, Vietnam) financial agreements related to various programs and joint ventures, survey of senior managers (1997-1998), Strategic National Themes (Government wide initiatives to review aspects of management and governance of the Public Service) and the Radian program. Extensive administrative files of the Sivuliuqtit Program to train and develop a cadre of Inuit mangers are also included in this series.

Custodial history:

The initial 19 archival containers derive from accession 2003-02700-9 processed directly to permanent as a direct transfer of archival records from the agency. Additional archival containers derive from accession 2004-00888-1 also processed directly to permanent as a direct transfer. Volumes 83-134 were added from accession 2005-00640-8, also processed directly to permanent as a direct transfer.
