Robertson, Eric, 1948- : Eric Robertson, an Edinburgh-born composer, pianist, organist and record producer, studied music with E. Francis Thomas, Eric Reid and William O. Minay. In 1963, he moved to Toronto and enrolled in the Royal Conservatory of Music, where he studied composition with Samuel Dolin and organ with Charles Peaker. He became director of music at St. John's Lutheran Church in Toronto, and organist-choirmaster at Humbercrest United Church (1966-90) and subsequently at St. Paul's Anglican Church. Robertson has written scores for a number of feature films (A Quiet Day in Belfast, Millennium, etc.), made-for-TV movies (The Challengers, Love and Hate, etc.) and TV series including Street Legal and Ken Dryden's Home Game. In 1978, he became music director of the well-known CBC television program The Tommy Hunter Show. In the course of his career, he has also written works for organ, choral works with orchestral accompaniment, and jazz.
