Image shows a group of men seated round a table, with portrait in the background, and a man writing with a quill in the foreground.
According to the text on the verso, the men depicted are, left to right: John Charles, Chief Factor; Peter Warren Dease, Chief Factor; Allan McDonell, Chief Factor; Sir George Simpson, Governor; Donald Ross, Chief Factor; John Rowand, Chief Factor; Richard Grant, Chief Trader; William Todd, Chief Trader.
In the left foreground and in the background are the two clerks.
