Mili fed many entertainers after their performances, after the hotel's kitchen had closed for the night. Berens writes of Mili's kitchen: "it was the smallest kitchen imaginable, built in a clothes-cupboard with the smallest refrigerator, a two-hole burner, a bread-box, four shelves and a lot of Mount Royal, canned Dainty Rice."
