Stapleton.Additional name(s):Biography/Administrative history:Grizzle, Stanley : Stanley Grizzle was born in Toronto in 1918. His family immigrated from Jamaica in 1911. He served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps overseas during the Second World War. From 1946 to 1962, he served as an officer of the Toronto CPR Division of the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. He ran as a CCF candidate in 1959. From the early 1960's he served with the Ontario Labour Relations Board until 1978. In that year, he was appointed Judge in the Canadian Court of Citizenship, the first African-Canadian in the court's history. He received many honours including his induction into the Labour Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Order of Canada in 1995.
