Colorano Silk Cachets : Colorano produces silk cachet first day covers, known as Colorano "silk" cachet. Established in 1965, it specialized first on maximum cards and in 1971 on first day covers. Ray Novak as President and his wife Jennie Mannino as Secretary of Colorano Publishers, the company was incorporated in 1979. In 1995, Paul Schmid purchased the name Colorano when Ray Novak retired.

Custodial history:

These materials were acquired from Ray Novak by the National Postal Museum. They were later acquired by the Canadian Postal Archives (now Philatelic Collections).
