Item is a holograph text, possibly dating from the nineteenth century, written in Mohowk. Includes minutes of a Seven Nations' Council meeting Feb. 9, 1788, concerning a renewal of friendship with the English (p. 85-89). It has been used to record family birth, baptism, confirmation, marriage and death dates on pp. [i-ii], 89, 128, 175. Some pages are missing, some are blank. The book is leather-bound and contains 174 pages of hand-numbered lined pages. Stationers stamp reads: Harper Pearce & Co., Stationers & Account Book Manufacterurs, Gracechurch, London. Bookplate indicates this item belonged to the library of Victor Morin, Montreal. It was part of the Daviault collection. Item is accompanied by a photocopy reproduction of the full text.
