Series consists primarily of layout plans of Stelco Company's West Mill and Parkdale works in Hamilton and the Dominion Works in Montreal. There are technical drawings of the galvanizing, PC, wire die processes at Stelco as well as plant layout plans and technical drawings from foreign countries.

Arrangement note:

Material was transferred from the Manuscipts Division in January 1993 (MG31-J38) Material was reintegrated in their original textual files in February 2015. At the time when processing of the records was undertaken by LAC staff, it was normal procedure to remove large size items from correspondence files in order to store them in larger folders. This practice was abandoned before the actual recontainerization of the plans extracted from A.B. Dove's files was effected. It was therefore decided to return the drawings to their original folders. This was done succesfully for the majority of the plans. However, existing notes were not always clear and some drawings could not be returned to their original folders.

The latter belong to two of the existing textual series, details are provided in a note below: MIKAN 130313: Stelco and MIKAN 130314: Consultation.
