Moshe Hammer
Violinist and Student of Human Behaviour

I was born in Hungary, raised in Israel and am a naturalized Canadian. My teachers were Ilona Fehér, a renowned Hungarian who studied with the famous violinists Jenö Hubáy and Jascha Heifetz.

As a solo violinist, I travel extensively in North America and Europe but I am always delighted to return to my home: Toronto. In distinctive live concerts, "Beethoven meets Jackson Pollock", my son Mike, an internationally acclaimed artist, paints on stage while I interpret the classics.

My love of music comes from my Hungarian roots, and the unique Middle European passion for life has always been one of my significant traits. When performer and audience truly connect in live concerts, real magic happens. My favourite after-concert comment came from an elderly gentleman: "You played so beautifully, even my leg feels better!"
