Series consists of small-scale maps of the western front that cover more than one area of operations. It includes such items as the commercial maps and atlases produced by the public sector for sale to the general public, as well as artillery training maps of areas in England. It also includes administrative, intelligence, operational, and transportation maps. In each case, the maps classified under these headings cover much wider areas than the items listed under similar headings in the previous section.

Also included in this section are large-scale plans that were not produced in response to any major battles. Such records include: plans of French timber lots prepared in connection with operations by the Canadian Forestry Corps; plans of Canadian memorial sites drafted by the Canadian Royal Engineers; and plans showing Canadian training bases.

Series is broken down into the following sub-series:
