This Oral History Project consists of recordings with the Right Honourable Prime Minister Paul Martin, and former Cabinet and Liberal Party of Canada caucus members. The Project was undertaken between 2006 to 2008 by Sean Conway of Queen's University, Director of the Institute of Intergovernmental Relations at Queen's University at the time, and former Liberal Member of the Ontario Legislature for Renfrew North, who was as a result both familiar with Paul Martin's political, Party, and social activities.

Sean Conway worked upon the Oral History Project from July 2006 to May 2008, which consists of 39 separate recording sessions and yielded almost 100 hours of taped conversations, 3,300 pages of corresponding transcripts, and a detailed Introduction and Reader's Guide for the material.
