Series consists mainly of correspondence sent and received by Emmett Hall, concerning financial matters, invitations, memberships and subscriptions, moving arrangements and real estate. There are also copies of correspondence sent and received by Hall's son, Dr. J.E. Hall, concerning his humanitarian work in India. The series also includes correspondence, mostly concerning fundraising, of the Canada U.B.L.S. (University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland) Committee, of which Hall was Chair. Hall's brother, Reverend A.W. Hall, taught at the University and was the Committee's executive director.

Series also contains photographs of members of the Knights of Malta and of the University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland, and architectural drawings of its men's residence.
