Scope and content:

Item consists of a bloody seal created and used for the production of the animated film "Kumak the Sleepy Hunter". It was produced in 1953 by Alma Duncan and released in 1955.

General note:

Kumak the Sleepy Hunter is an Inuit legend about a hunter (Kumak) who is too sleepy to hunt, told with puppets. Despite all efforts to change him he remains sleepy until the day when, following a great adventure, he attains success as a hunter. But then he foolishly tells the secret of his success to his nagging wife.
