This collection of postcards includes primarily Canadian postcards with some originating in the U.S.A. and some printed elsewhere, for example Great Britain and Germany. Among the postcards are items from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime provinces. Many depict historic sites such as famous C.P.R. hotels. There is a small group of real photo postcards, in addition to novelty postcards such as a colour panorama, a leather postcard and a letter postcard which has no image, only messages on it. Some of the postcards are inscribed with family messages and others are blank. Most are inscribed with publishers' notes.
