Accession consists of records created and/or maintained by the North Central District Office of Indian and Northern Affairs and one of its predecessors, the Saskatoon District.

The accession includes, but is not limited to records relating to: organization and administration, including regional office establishment, methods and procedures, the Indian Act, and liaison; miscellaneous buildings and projects, including community halls, churches, and band buildings; engineering services, including water supply systems, electric power services, telephone lines, and physical planning of communities; equipment and supplies, including inventory control; school supplies, including libraries, sports equipment, furnishings, audio-visual aids, and lunches; arts and crafts; farming, including grain permits, advances for farm stored grain, livestock; and band farms; finance; transportation, including busing and pupil transportation; trust funds, including salaries, budgets and authorities, and band audits; welfare, including the Work Opportunity Program, and family allowances; policy, research and evaluation, including meetings and the Indian Eskimo Policy Task Force; research into Indian rights and treaties, including the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians; management information systems; leases; and capital projects.

Custodial history:

These records were originally housed in Edmonton, but were later transferred to British Columbia. They were transferred again in 2016 and are now located in the National Capital Region and are available for consultation there.
