This is a preliminary description, please consult the linked accessions. Series consists of records created and/or maintained by the Department of Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada concerning the Urea Formaldehyde Insulation (UFFI) Programme. UFFI was used in Canada as thermal insulation for homes. In 1977, the federal government under wrote the cost of using UFFI in Canadian homes. In 1980, the MInister of Health and Welfare discontinued supporting the use of UFFI because of its danger to health.
