The records in this series are from Director-General Security and Military Police (DGSAMP) and related to evidence collected by the Military Police in investigating abuses committed by members of the Canadian Forces during their 1993 deployment to Somalia as part of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM). In this regard, the records also document cooperation with the Commission of Inquiry established to further investigate these abuses.
