Public relations is a very important activity, and the public relations department helped to promote Stelco products and services. This series consists of records produced by Stelco, and pertains to its relations with media and public events, such as openings, visits, celebrations, launches of new products, fairs or exhibitions attending. Of particular interest are photographs and records showing the opening of the following buildings: the new Research Centre, the 148 Plate Mill, the Bar Mill at Contrecoeur, the Griffith Mine, the new Blast Furnace, the new Rod Rolling Mill at Hilton Works, the Open Hearth Furnace and the Wabush Mine.

Among the records are promotional documents produced for the launch of these new products: Stelcolor, an ultra-prefinished steel, the Ardox nail, wheel nuts, high strength bolts and spring lock washers.

This series also documents the 25th and the 50th company anniversary ceremonies. The files contain press releases, speeches, photographs and clippings. They should be used in conjunction with the Stelco's history and anniversary series.
